Liquidation as an alternative to winding up

Hello. Is it possible to put a company into liquidation if a winding up petition has been issued?

Hello Brett and welcome

Yes, you can implement a voluntary liquidation process after a winding up petition has been issued. This could be to the beneft of the company's directors as they would then be in more control of the appointed liquidator rather than working with one appointed by the court if the business is wound up.

Hi there Brett

You should speak to a company insolvency expert as soon as possible. If a winding up petition has already been issued, then you need to act quickly. If a winding up order is actually granted, it will be difficult to revise this procedure
